Tidal energy storage
tracts, or tidal energy farms, will be large groups of tidal turbines situated in either high tidal range shores or in deep-sea
tidal currents. These tidal energies could prove to be a viable, though not major, source of clean energy for the emerging
world. These tidal farms would consist of 300-500 tidal turbines, either horizontally or vertically oriented, that would rotate
either direction to generate power for an average of 17 hours per day. Those farms in deep sea currents would rely on an energy
storage device similar to a battery, on a much larger scale, to store the energy to eventually be transferred to the grid.
